What is Kudzu Root Extract

Kudzu Root Extracthas improve the heart and brain circulation, lowering blood sugar, anti-hypertension and arteriosclerosis, increased immunity in a variety of biological activity, but also enhance vision, rapidly sobering up and the estrogen-like effect.

New factors as the natural effect of puerarin in the food industry, pharmaceutical industry, daily chemical industry plays an important role in such areas. In 1993 China approved a new drug for the treatment of puerarin as cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, commercial name called Puerarin.

When used as a cosmetic ingredient, it was used in the eye frost, care-skin frost.

Puerarin, one of several known isoflavones, is found in a number of plants and herbs, such as the root of Pueraria (Radix puerariae) notably of the kudzu plant. Puerarin is the 8-C-glucoside of daidzein, and is a 5-HT2C receptor and benzodiazepine site antagonist.

1.Puerarin is an extract of natural Chinese medicine and has been extensively used in the treatment of coronary disease, hypertension, diabetes, etc.

2.It has also been reported that puerarin can decrease oxidative damage and inhibit cell apoptosis. On the basis of our previous works that lens was oxidized by ONOO and antagonized by puerarin, the present study was aimed to examine the feasibility of inhibiting cataract formation by puerarin, a chemical known to effectively scavenge ROS and inhibit protein glycation, both involved in the genesis of diabetic cataracts.
