Gamma Oryzanol appears a white or quasi-white crystalline powder exists in rice oil and is a mixture of triterpene (en) alcohol-based ferulic esters. It mainly acts on the autonomic nervous system and endocrine center of the diencephalon, which can adjust the autonomic nervous function, reduce endocrine balance disorder and improve the symptoms of mental disorders. 

It also have many physiological functions, such as reducing blood lipid and liver lipid, preventing lipid oxidation and antioxidation. 

In addition, there is a resistance to arrhythmia, by regulating autonomic nerve function to decrease the myocardial excitability.
